“ Been coming here since first getting stationed here back in the 80’s. The location, food, drink, atmosphere and staff are all top notch. Probably my favorite eating/drinking establishment in the Tidewater area over the 40 years I’ve been coming here - Love it. ”
“ For starters, this place is in a great location in a historic area and right on the beach. There was some sort of musical event nearby when we stopped by. Parking out front seems somewhat limited, and they appear to be vigilant about enforcing it, so I don't recommend you park and go to the beach before or after. There are probably nearby public spaces, but we didn't look into it. I wish we had more time, but we were just passing through. The food was good. The hamburger was tasty, and they had ample seafood options. The calamari was on the special menu (should be a regular item), and I regret not trying it as it had banana peppers and Thai chili sauce which is right up my alley. ”
“ We ate there one day and went out of our way the next day to go back. Service is good, parking is ok, but we walked from the shuttle stop. The bacon cheeseburger is great and is very thick like burgers used to be. The fried mushrooms were fresh and crisp with a side of ranch. It can be a bit noisy, but it IS a pub. ”
“ Asked the lady at the front desk at the nearby museum where is the best place to eat and she said to come here! So if you’re a local or a tourist stop by, the food is fresh and delicious! The service is quick, friendly and professional! The blackened tuna, reuben, and the large crab cakes are very good! A great place to grab a drink, see the water and walk down the river walk! ”
“ It's been a while since we visited Yorktown. Yesterday we returned, and that means lunch at the Yorktown Pub. The pub is a local place with local seafood, a rarity in the USA these days. My wife and grandkids enjoyed the Bang Fish Tacos. The spicy sauce on the fish was popular. The fries were quite crispy and flavorful. I had a dinner of York River oysters. These oysters are succulent and flavorful. The oysters are also large. I enjoyed them a lot. I'm looking forward to returning. ”
